Background

This is a poster I made for my girlfriend in 2008. At the time light streak effects started to appear more often on the design scene, and I wanted to explore this style further.
The poster features a song title by the post-rock band Explosions in the Sky, which I think suited this space-influenced style quite well.

Execution

The image is made entirely in photoshop. I've relied heavily on the use of custom brushes, different blending modes and lightning effects. The poster ultimately ended up as an A4 print, which turned out nicely.
